Know the warning signs
When to stop and have the door checked
- One side of the door hangs lower
- Rollers are outside the track
- A cable is loose or tangled near the drum
- The door is crooked in the opening
- The door binds or stops halfway
- A track is bent, separated, or visibly shifted
Diagnosis before parts
The door is secured before any cable or roller is repositioned. Tracks are corrected only where necessary, damaged hardware is identified, and the lift system is brought back into equal timing. The final test checks the door by hand and under opener power so a hidden balance problem is not left behind.
What we inspect
A focused repair still needs context. Depending on the door and the failure, the inspection includes:
- Cable position and drum grooves
- Rollers, hinges, and brackets
- Vertical and horizontal track alignment
- Door section condition
- Spring balance and lift timing
- Opener arm and travel settings
Why Parma weather matters
A door can come off track after a small impact, a cable problem, or a roller failure. Ice at the bottom seal can also hold one side down while the opener pulls upward. The visible crooked door is often the result, not the original cause.
What a complete repair should accomplish
